We went to Kelly's today. oh yumm-o. I forgot to take a before picture, but this is the after. Nothing left but the crumbs.

project life weeks 25, 26 & 28

I had to print out one picture from each of the following three weeks to finish them up. Finally got around to doing that. Had a bit of help with a great deal from Snapfish... 300 prints for $3. Of course they get you with the shipping fees but it was still a good deal for me to catch up.

I am totally loving doing Project Life this year. When I did it in 2009, I got very far behind both in doing the journaling cards and printing pictures that I was discouraged. This year I am making an effort to keep up with things and it seems to be working well. I have gotten all the pictures printed and journaling done through October 31st. Pretty amazing!!

project life 2011- weeks 24, 27, 29 and 30

This is the post that is messed up a bit with the missing pictures on three weeks. Soon as those pictures get printed, I'll be good to go on posting them. The journaling blocks are done, waiting on pictures.

Week 24- Kira's friends party at Chuck E Cheese, silly kids, Alex's car seat that he got sick all over, DADDY HOME!! and a haircut for my little man.

Week 27- My Maine lilies from my twin Tania. New ceiling fan since our other one fried (lucky there wasn't a fire) My new bread machine as I over-used our old one. Grandma Clark's desk in Kira's clean room and new ice cream bowls for the kids. Can't go wrong with M&M bowls for a buck (or maybe it was $2) at Walmart. They are so cute!!

Week 29- Me visiting my twin Tania. Had the best time EVER!! Hanging out with the kids at Nana and Papa's. Visiting my forever bestie and her girls.

Week 30- Seeing the Pooh movie, photo shoot with the kiddos, my rose of sharon in the back yard. Needs a trim this year. Price of gas for me with my Stop and Shop gas rewards savings!! So happy!! Truck from my twin's neck of the woods and the farm stand where we get our corn.

So happy I am doing this project as I love looking back at all the silly pictures and how this year is going. Glad the family goes along with all the pictures I need to take to keep this current.

happy father's day!

Hoping it's going to be a good one here. Right now both of the kids are on my nerves and daddy is still asleep. I don't think Kira got enough sleep so she's a little whiny. After breakfast she should be better.

Here's my kiddos at Friendly's from last week. We went there after Kira's annual check up. It was a reward for being good for me while hubby was out of town for work. Plus I know that they eat pretty much everything on their plates to get the ice cream at the end!! Love that. Sometimes they can be so sweet and loving... and then the tween emotions come into play... eeeek.

Look at the shagginess that is Alex's hair!! oh my word! In all fairness, his last haircut was in March so we have been slacking in that. Scroll down to see the new and improved summer do for my little guy.

Much more better!! Handsome little guy, ain't he?? He won't let them use the trimmers so they have to use scissors. She did a great job getting it that short. You wouldn't know it by looking at it, but his hair is THICK!! She was cutting and cutting for awhile to get it that short. Now he is ready for summer. I should take Kira somewhere to get a trim... looking scary on the ends. BTW... haircut for Alex means Kelly's Roast Beef for mommy!! I love how that works :)

Waiting for hubby to wake up so we can give him his presents and some family love. He deserves to sleep in a bit. Long week for him in St. Louis. Glad to have him home- we missed him.

our busy saturday

After a busy week, what should a family do?? In our case, spend most of the day in the car running errands!! It was all good as we were together and the kids were pretty good at going to different stores and getting in and out of the car. Makes it easier.

Our first stop was to get my little man a haircut! He sure needed one. As adorable as he is with his scruffy trying to turn into curls hair... he is much more handsome all cleaned up with short hair!! I do believe he is a pirate in this picture!! We were waiting for our lunch at Kelly's Roast Beef.

I truly believe I do not push Alex to let us cut his hair at home so we can go to Snip it's in Peabody and then eat at Kelly's. It's good to admit these things. And even better that my faboo hubby let's us!!

Then we hit Pier 1 to pick up a couple of great photo holders that my BFF has at her house. They have theirs in their kitchen/ dining room area and they are wonderful for holding the kids art work and family snap shots. Love it!! I now have two and need to find a place to hang them!! They didn't look that big in the store (or at her house) but they are a bit bigger than I had imagined!! Soon as I get them hung, I'll post a picture of them.

Then to ACMoore to try and find a couple of frames for some of Kira's art work from her Painting Club. I checked online and their ad says that frames were on sale. Yeah... not exactly. The ones that I wanted, were not on sale. And I hadn't printed a coupon as I thought frames were on sale!! It worked out okay since I didn't have to pay Massachusetts tax on them. I'll use my Michaels coupons and get them there. And no tax!!

Then we hit Northshore Mall to go to Build A Bear Workshop. We were in dire need of stuffing two more animals. Now if you have seen my house more importantly, my kids rooms. You know that we really do not need anymore animals in this house!! But E.B. is so stinking cute!!! Don't you agree???

He is from the new movie HOP. I am so looking forward to taking the kids to see it. His face is simply adorable. How could we not get them for the kids? Yup... our house is the proud owner of two of these creatures. We got them the drum sticks to go with him. Alex has become obsessed with drums so he is perfect for him. And heck... Kira is all about the stuffed animals.

After all that fun, we picked up some cake from the Cheesecake Factory and headed to the grocery store. We needed some real food. Then home. It was a good day and glad I have such a wonderful family to spend the time with.

Today will be good as well. We are celebrating Alex's birthday since tomorrow we are busy from morning to night and we don't want to rush his fun. I'm sure once he gets his present, he won't mind celebrating a day early!! He will be the proud owner of a drum set. Yes I have given in and decided he should have it. He is constantly creating his own set out of whatever makes noise around here. I am sure he will be beside himself!! Pictures tomorrow!!

zoo fun

We had the fun of going to the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Rhode Island yesterday. We got to hang out with the BABW crew from Providence Place. Great group. Alex was very intent on checking things out on the map so he knew where he was going. First stop for him would have been the elephants and then the giraffes. For us- bathrooms! But he knew where his choices were.

This is as much of the red wolf that Kira got to see. They were hiding in their enclosures. Could have been due to the heat of yesterday. The breeze was lovely when it showed up. But over all it was a little warm!

Yes happy children. Little do you know from this picture that Alex will be melting down and throwing his shoes and himself just a little farther down the path. He wanted to go home. The elephants were having a bath inside and he had enjoyed the giraffes so he was done. Lesson learned- bring snacks for him no matter what. He was much better after lunch.

Poor little kid crashed on the way home. Looks almost like he has a black eye (but he doesn't) He was just tired!!

And the best part of the day... dinner at Kelly's Roast Beef. This was my sandwich. Yummy!!

Today is a clean up day and hang up yard sale signs day. I need to get my hiney in gear and off to Walmart to pick up poster board. Here I go... if I do all my chores, I do believe my scrap table will be seeing me later!! woohoo... that is motivation!
