gift card holders

I have made so many of these gift card holders over the years. They are simple to make and add such a personal feel to a gift card. Cuz you know, sometimes gift cards are not very personal. I made these up for my card party and they were a hit!!

Again, I am using that DCWV Christmas stack. I love the different papers that are in there. Seriously love them all. I only need to figure out a way to use the giant ornaments/ tree branches and bows that came in that pack and I will be a very happy lady!!

I used puff paint on the Santa hat which is pop dotted. I heat embossed the edges to give it the sparkle. I also heat embossed the snowflake below.

May all your gifts be sparkly and bright.

looking like christmas

These are the last Christmas cards I whipped up for my card party last week. I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in them and it never hurts to have extras for my own stash!! I used DCWV Christmas stack from ages ago. I really need to pick up a new one this year. Just to mix things up a bit. :)

I stamped the images using Studio G dollar stamps and heat embossed them using gold powder.

I sewed with metallic gold thread which is a very cheap brand and breaks ALL THE TIME!! And yes mom I was even using my metallic needles. I kinda like how it worked out with the extra and such. Gives it a homey feel.

So... do you need any Christmas cards?? Head over to terri's treasures and let me make your season bright!!

september card sketch challenge

Another month, another sketch challenge!! I used this months sketch to beef up my samples for terri's treasures. It doesn't hurt that I will probably use these for my own correspondence!!

Here is this months sketch. It is wonderful!!

And here are my four takes on it. I usually do four cards at a time since I can cut the 12X12 to fit four cards and might as well make four instead of going back to make more later.

I used an old DCWV Christmas stack. Heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I love the look of gold for the holidays. Dug out a bunch of different clear Studio G stamps and put them together to create the looks shown.

I used a set of Cuttlebug scallop circles to create the accents. I think I got the set on clearance at ACMoore a couple years back.

I pop dotted the center circle to bring a little something to the cards. These are some of my favorites I have created for this group. Love this sketch. I may have to use it again for terri's treasures!!

Have a wonderful poppy kind of day!

non traditional Christmas colors

This is a set of cards I created for terri's treasures. I love the non traditional colors. Breaks up all those greens and reds.

It was an amazingly fun time at the card party. So many ladies hanging out and enjoying each others company. I sold a bunch of my samples and even have a few orders to keep me out of trouble for a week or so. Hoping to do it again closer to Christmas and sell some card sets with boxes for gifts.

So if you are looking for some Christmas cards... I have twelve ready for you. :)

Have a lovely non traditional kind of day!

grab a gift bag

I've been working on some samples to have at my card party on Wednesday and thought some fun Christmas themed gift bags would be nice to have. Love these 2-5-7-10 boxes. So easy to make and so much fun to decorate!!

I am also working on some Christmas card examples. Hoping to post them soon. Also want to whip up a thank you gift for the hostess. Guess I should get off of the computer and get creative!!

Check out terri's treasures for more goodies I can create for you!!

silly silly alex

Yup, it's that time again. Time for my monthly sketch challenge group showing. I have been so busy working on a bunch of samples for my card party, I really have had no time to scrap for me. Not complaining, just stating the fact. So it was lovely when I was able to grab some pictures and scrap! I think it helped with my card creating too.

Here is this month's sketch we had to work with. Pretty darn neat with all those embellies and such.

And here is my take on the sketch.

These pictures are so darn funny! One night hubby stole Alex's socks off his feet and then put them on his hands and used them to talk to Alex as well as tickle him. It was so funny!! The giggles were music to my ears.

These pictures were from 2009. The title was cut with my big ole red Sizzix machine using the Aphrodite Sizzlit font. The brads are from Queen & Co and I have had them FOREVER!! I used one of my EKSuccess border punches. Thanks for looking!

May you have a very silly kind of day!

would you like cheese with those sneaks?

This is the first year that it really mattered what kind of sneakers Kira would be wearing in gym class. They take their physical education pretty seriously at the Junior/ Senior High School. I was at Target and ran across this great sneaks. Not only were they great colors for Kira, but they are so light! Seriously, they are lighter than the sandals she has been wearing all summer. Love that!! They are a specific running sneak so I think she won't have sore legs and such anymore. woohoo!

Anywho... here she is when I gave her these amazing new sneaks. My poor flash on my camera was taking FOREVER to work so the smile got a little forced and cheesy. And much to my surprise, she said we could leave the purple laces in the sneaks. I thought for sure we would be changing them out for the pink. Guess she does take after me a little bit!!

May your feet not hurt you today as you run the race.

gift cards for petite bottoms

I was able to create two styles of gift cards for a local business woman. I had so much fun as I am friends with her and I think she simply rocks. Business owner and amazing mom. oh yeah... did I also mention she is due in November? Yeah... she is great.

Her store colors are pink and green. I mean yumminess can only happen from that combination. I had fun creating the two styles and it was so much fun watching her try to decide which one to choose. I took her off the hook and told her I could do both styles and she can let the customers decide. To all you moms out there, you know the strain baby brain puts on us so it was good I could help her that way.

This is a criss cross card that I had to downsize for use as a gift card. Love it.

Here it is with the gift card pulled out a bit.

And this style is a tri fold card. I made it smaller as well. Very happy with how it came out. This pattern paper is what I used when I ran out of the original. I used my Cuttlebug to cut and emboss the baby carriage stamp. It was a set that came with my Cuttlebug.

Same tri fold card, different pattern paper.

Tri fold card opened up.

I cannot wait to drop these off to her. I am sure her customers will love them. If you are in need of cloth diapers and other baby goodies, check out Petite Bottoms! And if you are on FB, click HERE.

May your bottoms all be petite!!

another order for terri's treasures!

Just hanging out at school pick up and I got an order!! How wonderful is that? Of course when she asked for my website I did not have any of my business cards on me and my website has a HUGE LONG address.  No I am not complaining as it is a FREE hosting site and I like free. It is just easier to hand people a card and let them go from there.

She wanted two card drawers for Christmas presents. oh how I love people who plan ahead. Stress is not something I like and I had so much fun making these drawers for her. Did a double medallion flower for the first one with pearl bling.

One flower and some diamond bling. Tutorial for the card drawers can be found here at Splitcoaststampers.

This is from my cardstock design cards STYLE D. Love the flowers with the bling.

Pretty easy to get these done which makes me happy as I love giving things to my customers. Happy inside warm fuzzy feelings. I am glad I started terri's treasures. Thanks to everyone for the push.

May your day contain much bling to bring a happy spark to you.
