jumperoo's adventure

My daughter the future film director took her Webkinz kangaroo with her to the playground last week and took a LARGE quantity of pictures and videos with her. I've chosen some of my favorites to share with you.

Here she is jumping for joy to be at the playground and free from the house.

Watching the clouds go by while relaxing inside the crawl tube.

Time to go. Watching the world pass her by.

It was sunny out so Kira lent her her sunglasses.

But she couldn't wear them while she was driving the van. She did pretty good until I had to take a corner, then she fell off.

After falling it was time to be restrained to avoid any more falling incidents.

She has quite the imagination. Let's hope she keeps it. Directors make big money to put vision to someone's thoughts/ written words.

a day in the life

It is summer.
It is hot.
All is good.

You can tell how good it is just by looking at those two happy little faces! I mean seriously... does anything else say summer like that??? I thought not.

We headed out to Jacksons Landing in Durham and met up with my friend Nicole and her crew. Thank goodness we got there early as it started getting pretty darn hot by the time we left.

Alex ran around good and hard and Kira ran around with her Webkinz Kangaroo and her camera taking pictures and movies of their adventures. I need to get a few as they were pretty funny. I think my favorite was when he started driving the van with me.

Anyway... it was a great time out and about. I'm sure the McFlurrys afterward didn't hurt in the least either.

Love those happy smiles!!

half day = picnic and friends

The kids had a half day of school on Wednesday for the teachers to have a workshop so I planned a picnic and a playground trip with my friend and her kids. Thank goodness the weather cooperated with us and gave us a glorious lovely sunny day. After our picnic I grabbed my little guy and did a photo session for his 6th birthday. I am very happy with the pictures I got. Now to decide which ones make the birthday frame for the year. Such hard decisions.

I will be starting with this one as I am totally in love with it.

Then I was able to wrangle all five kids into smiling for me and sitting still. Not easy and I took MANY pictures to ensure that I got everyone with eyes open and looking at me. Such a cute group we had.

Then today it was off and on rain and sun. Of course not enough rain to help with our drought conditions, but enough to mess up plans to play at the playground after school. grrrr.

project life weeks 31-37

Here are the next group of weeks completed. I am very excited to have this years album done and start working on next years. I am thinking I shall be using the Cobalt kit. Then again, the Clementine kit is very pretty.

In case you haven't looked before, this year may be the year that you might want to peek. Instead of having to purchase the entire kit (binder, core kit, plastics, dividers, extra papers) for one price, you now have the option of buying just what you want/ need/ can afford. Love this!! Click here to look at prices and options.

The plastics for this coming year are amazing!! I have ordered them and received them. I ordered some for my 2012 Project Life book as well as enough for two school years books. That is when Becky gets them out (hoping for early spring of 2012) It's a start on my journey to organize all that paperwork the kids generate from learning at school.

Anywho... here are a few more weeks of 2011....

fun in the sun

Yesterday was such a lovely day, a group of us moms decided to take the kiddos to a local park for a picnic and some fun in the sun before the rain and snow begin their falling. We had a good group of kids. My friend Nicole snapped the following two pictures of the kiddos and they are wonderful! So perfect for my Project Life picture. Aren't they just the cutest kids??

We got there around 11:30am and didn't leave until a bit after 2pm! Alex almost fell asleep on the way home but managed to keep going until 8pm. The only reason he was up that late was I had a PTA meeting and daddy had to work late. He didn't make it much past his head hitting the pillow.

Today I get to go hang with the kindergarten kids. Love my Wednesdays (and any other day the teacher asks me to come in) So much fun hanging with the little ones.

Nope... still haven't gotten the Halloween garland pictures off my camera. Hoping to do that later today when I have a minute to myself. Cross your fingers!!

project life 2011- weeks 24, 27, 29 and 30

This is the post that is messed up a bit with the missing pictures on three weeks. Soon as those pictures get printed, I'll be good to go on posting them. The journaling blocks are done, waiting on pictures.

Week 24- Kira's friends party at Chuck E Cheese, silly kids, Alex's car seat that he got sick all over, DADDY HOME!! and a haircut for my little man.

Week 27- My Maine lilies from my twin Tania. New ceiling fan since our other one fried (lucky there wasn't a fire) My new bread machine as I over-used our old one. Grandma Clark's desk in Kira's clean room and new ice cream bowls for the kids. Can't go wrong with M&M bowls for a buck (or maybe it was $2) at Walmart. They are so cute!!

Week 29- Me visiting my twin Tania. Had the best time EVER!! Hanging out with the kids at Nana and Papa's. Visiting my forever bestie and her girls.

Week 30- Seeing the Pooh movie, photo shoot with the kiddos, my rose of sharon in the back yard. Needs a trim this year. Price of gas for me with my Stop and Shop gas rewards savings!! So happy!! Truck from my twin's neck of the woods and the farm stand where we get our corn.

So happy I am doing this project as I love looking back at all the silly pictures and how this year is going. Glad the family goes along with all the pictures I need to take to keep this current.

project life 2011- weeks 20-23

Trying not to make the blog posts super photo heavy so instead I'll post three posts today!! That should catch me up with things. LOL

Week 20- Alex is once again wearing mis matched socks on purpose!! So cute. Saturday was a day of shopping ALONE for me. Got through 3 stores without one single complaint!!

Week 21- So much to do and no time to do it!! We have bought our paint to do the garage and the house. Hope it's enough. And yes we know they sell the paint in the 15 gallon tubs but the Home Depot we went to, was out of the proper tint we needed so they sold us 15 gallon cans instead. Turns out it was much easier to use these than worry about lifting a 15 gallon tub up a ladder!!

Week 22- Working on the house time. Must be spring finally!!

Week 23- Kira's birthday this week. Daddy got a new car and Alex graduated from preschool. Good week for the Foltz Family!!

project life 2011- weeks 16-19

Got my photo order from Winkflash and got my Project Life pretty much up to date. There are three weeks that are missing one picture each. Those pictures were on other peoples cameras and I didn't have them when I place my photo order. Those weeks will have to wait to be posted!!

Week 16- Spirit week for Kira and a rainy Easter Egg Hunt for us this week.

Week 17- Easter Sunday and then CKC weekend with Jackie!! That is some sticker shock over the price of gas on Tuesday!! Certainly not driving the car until it is empty anymore!!

Week 18- Kira will learn someday not to take silly pictures as more often than not, they end up in a scrapbook!!

Week 19- Mother's Day and the PTA's Spring Auction. Good week. Especially Monday night's drink with dinner... yummy.

28 April 2011

vacation week

oh yeah we are on vacation. Of course the first couple days it had to rain and be quite miserable out there. But yesterday.... ah sweet glorious yesterday! It was sunny. I do believe we hit 80. I didn't even bother to look it was so lovely out.

I took the kids to the rec center playground (looks much different when it's not raining and covered with Easter Eggs!!!) and let them run around for two hours! They had a blast and the energy that was released was wonderful!! Had to snap a picture before they started running like mad kids. The after picture was quite different. They were both sweaty and ready for the bath I ran for them when we got home!!

Me on the other hand sitting directly in the sun for two hours with no sunscreen on, ended up a little on the pink side of my paleness. Someday I'll learn and carry sunscreen with me whenever I go out.

Here's today's activity due to the overcast conditions and the darkness that has swallowed us up. Waiting for the thunderstorms to get here. I know they are coming since it is so warm out. Until then, my kitchen table resembles a playdoh factory explosion. So happy it cleans up nicely! And that they are playing together!! Even better.

I went outside to cut some daffodils before the rain came down and washed them away. So pretty!! I think I would have had more if the weather had cooperated at the beginning of the month. I don't think they liked the snow that came down on top of them!! But I'll take what I can get.

Here's hoping your day is as springy as ours. Off to work on a project I really want to get done!!
